TCC Introduces Commercial Awareness Course

At TCC Training and Consultancy, the new BCS Commercial Awareness foundation course is a welcome addition to the BCS Business Analysis Diploma certification.

Formerly the ISEB Organisational Context module, leading to the ISEB Business Analysis Diploma, Commercial Awareness represents one of the biggest changes to the BCS Business Analysis certifications.

The module, introduced on the 1st April 2012, focuses on the commercial and organisational knowledge required for business analysis work - qualifying as one of the four certificates needed to gain your BCS Diploma in Business Analysis.

Some had criticised the ISEB Organisational Context module - the previous certification - as being too "UK centred", resulting in limited relevance for those working in organisations outside of the UK.

This update to the knowledge-based course - available to book now with accredited provider, TCC - is hailed as adding a more international and up-to-date interpretation to the Business Analysis certification.

The certificate in Commercial Awareness is aimed at individuals who want to gain an understanding of the operation, behaviour and structure of organisations.

What topics are covered?

• Business operating models.
• Internal organisational architectures.
• Business culture analysis.
• Business finance.

In line with other BCS Foundation level courses, the format of the exam is multiple choice - differing from the previous Organisational Context module. The exam lasts 1 hour; consisting of 40 multiple choice questions with a pass rate of 65%.
