JOINING INSTRUCTIONS

Agile Project Management (AgilePM)

Timings

The course runs from 09:00 until 17:00 each day. There are morning and afternoon breaks, as well as a break for lunch at approximately 12:30. Lunch and refreshments are provided and are included in the course fee.

Pre-Course Reading

In order to familiarise yourself with the terminology and background to both Scrum and AgilePM v3, please read the first three chapters of the AgilePM Reference Book available here:

http://go.tcc-net.com/agilepmv3-referencebook

Please focus especially on Chapter Two, as this gives the context and background to AgilePM v3, and Chapter Three, as this covers the Scrum Guide.

If you already have the AgilePM v3 Foundation certification, and are only joining the course for the Practitioner part (days 4 and 5), please aim to re-read the AgilePM v3 Reference Book in full, to refresh your memory, before attending.

You do not need to buy the book at this point. You will receive a full copy of the "Agile Project Management Reference Book" when you arrive at the course.

Examination

The AgilePM certification can be awarded at either Foundation or Practitioner level.

Exam Format

Depending on the level you have decided to attain, you will take one or both of the exams below:

It is important that you bring photo identification with you; we are required to check this by APMG.

Exam Timings

Please note that the Foundation exam is usually taken during the course, on the third day at 15:00. However, the Practitioner exam is not taken during the course, but online at a subsequent time and date of your choice, after the course. You can book your Practitioner exam as soon as you receive the email from APMG.

Booking your Online Exam (If Applicable)

Most attendees choose to leave some time for revision before taking the Practitioner exam. For example, if the course finishes on a Friday, you might choose to take your Practitioner exam on the following Thursday.

When to take the exam(s) is completely your choice. You have up to 9 months to do so, although we strongly recommend you aim to leave no more than four weeks after your course if possible such that the content is fresh in your mind. Please note that, unfortunately, APMG do not offer the option for an exam extension so please diarise the completion of your exam to ensure you do not miss the opportunity to take it.

Before the course, you will receive a registration email from APMG International. Once you have created an account, you can schedule your online exam by selecting from the available timeslots. As exam timeslots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, please book your slot as soon as possible to secure your preferred time.

Please ensure that you test the exam software on your computer at least 48 hours in advance, especially if you are planning on using a corporate device (some may block the installation). To be sure, you may wish to install the Guardian Browser before you schedule your exam.
