This course will allow you to learn the key aspects of LeSS, and to explore whether it is a good fit for your organisation.

LeSS offers straightforward structural guidance on how to adopt Scrum in a large product development, across multiple teams. This course introduces the framework and the essential concepts for Large Scale Scrum. It is an excellent starting point for anyone leading, supporting or participating in a LeSS project or environment.

  • Explain the type and purpose of each role in LeSS
  • Understand why there is a single Product Owner (not one per team)
  • Understand how implementation of LeSS affects organisational design (structure, policies etc.)
  • Understand the individual impact of implementing LeSS (e.g. to working patterns)
  • Analyse the current position of an organisation, with respect to LeSS
  • Assess the applicability of LeSS to a specific organisation
  • Appreciate the LeSS approach to scaling to 8+ teams

Basic Scrum knowledge from training or working in Scrum Teams is expected; this is not a course for beginners to Scrum.

Delegates receive a Certified LeSS Basics certificate and an account on the less.works website. The LeSS Basics Certificate will not expire and is a valuable, industry-recognised certificate.
Does the course carry any Scrum Educational Units (SEUs)?
This course is worth 8 SEUs.
